Congratulations to the Glenwood Jazz Band as they wrapped up their season in Ames Iowa at the Iowa Jazz Championships. The top 2 bands from each of the 6 Iowa District + 3 wild card bands are invited to this event to compete for a state championship.
The Glenwood "Gold" jazz band performed at 3:15 and had their best performance of the year. They earned a 4th place trophy which is the second highest placing in Glenwood history tying the 2016 year. Soloists awards were given to students who were deemed exceptional performers and went to: Mayer Buchana, Aubrey Mullanix, Julia Nightser and Nolan Clark.
This is Mr. Schoenings last year as the director of the Glenwood Jazz Band and was a great final performance that I am sure he will remember forever. Thanks for all of your support for Mr. Schoening and the Glenwood Jazz Band.

We need a few speeches for the graduation ceremony. To be allowed to speak there are some things that are considered and they are listed below:
Good standing in academics, attendance, and behavior
Leadership qualities
Past experience in speaking
There is a sign up sheet in the main office.
After signups Mrs. Duitsman will meet with you before writing the speeches and then after they are written.
BAND FUNDRAISER 4/5
The fundraiser delivery will be on April 5th in the middle school band room. We expect all HS kids to come down after school. Directors will be at the MS until 4:00. Please make sure you have plans to pick up your items!
Cash Drawing will take place the week after the delivery!

Color Guard Sign-ups are posted in the HS and MS offices and in both the HS and MS band rooms!
Open Gym learning sessions will be held in the HS Aux Gym April 22-26 7am.
Auditions are held on Saturday, April 27th from 8am-10am.
If you don't know what Color Guard is about, ask a current member!

Cap & Gown Orders
In order to ensure on time delivery of cap and gown regalia, we ask that all remaining cap and gown orders be placed before March 1st .
Orders can continue to be placed at Jostens.com (the easiest and most convenient way) or in our store in Omaha. Our address is 12100 West Center Road Suite 901 in Bel Air Plaza. We are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-5:30pm.
