Interested in High School Speech?
Individual event speech team is preparing for the 2025 season and would love for your child to be involved. Everyone participates on the individual speech team! We welcome students who love to present in front of others and those who have a little stage fright and just want to work through it. It really is for everyone and skills they will use the rest of their lives. Organizational work sessions occur from November to January to select or write pieces. Heavy duty practices occur in February with District Contest being on March 1st. Walnut Hill Invitational is March 8th and State Contest on March 15th. There are fourteen different categories ranging from oratory, spontaneous speaking, after dinner speaking, and many, many more. We can find a category that meets the skills and personalities of your children. Contact Ann Greenfield (9th grade), greenfielda@glenwoodschools.org and Teresa Lawler (10th-12th grade), lawlerter@glenwoodschools.org.
