Welcome to Glenwood Middle School. The Middle School serves approximately 460 students in grades 6-8 from the communities of Glenwood, Mineola, Pacific Junction, Silver City and the surrounding area.  With 32 classroom teachers the Middle School has a 15 to 1 teacher to student ratio.  At Glenwood Middle School, we seek to be Respectful, Accountable, Motivated, and Successful.

In order to foster 21st Century Skills, students have access to 1:1 Chromebook devices to utilize for all of their academic coursework.  Beyond the opportunities students have in core classes, we offer many elective classes in the areas of Engineering, App Development, Investigative Research, Criminology, Medical Detection, Agriculture and Fine Arts. 

Glenwood is part of the Hawkeye 10 Conference and competes in 8 sports at the 7th and 8th grade levels.  In the area of Fine Arts, students can be involved in visual arts, instrumental, and vocal music.  Students also have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of clubs, organizations, and activities.  Over 75% of the GMS student body participates in at least one of the above activities.
