  • This Friday the Builders Club in conjunction with SSC will host the school years’ 1st Activity NIght.   Admission is $3 for all students.  ONLY Glenwood Middle School students are allowed to attend.  The event starts at 7:00pm and will end at 8:30.  All school rules apply to this event; including appropriate dress and behavior.  A concession stand will be available for the evening that will be run by FCCLA.  Come join the fun with music, food and games.  For more information, talk to Mr. Starner or Mrs. Tadin.
  • Picture retakes are on November 8th. Please sign up in the office if you need to get them retaken 
  • SSC- BIG shoutout to all of our new SSC members. Our enrollment is 89 students! We are so excited for a GREAT year. Our first meeting was a success. SSC will meet twice a month. Below are our meeting dates and times for October. 

 

    • October 17th-3:30pm to 4:15pm

 

  • The MS Play will have auditions on October 16 and October 17 after school in Mrs. Buckingham's room. Students interested need to attend ONE audition day. Please sign up for your audition day with Mrs. Buckingham. Auditions will be from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. The cast list will be posted on October 20. The first rehearsal will be held on October 25 after school from 3:30 - 4;30 PM. 
    • If you have not picked up an information sheet about the play or auditions yet, please see or email Mrs.Buckingham.

 

  • If you are using stars at the RamShack they must be on your hall pass or they will not be accepted 

 

  • Please do not bring your chromebooks to lunch. They need to stay in your locker during that time.
  • There will be a Family Connections Trick or Treating event on October 25th. Click here for more information.

Volleyball Results

Last night the 7th grade girls started their last week of volleyball with an away game at Shenandoah. The A team started off the night hot winning their first game 25-10. They dominated again in the second game winning 25-10, again! In the third set they finished the Fillies winning 15-6. Brie W led the team in serving with 10 aces. Kadie B and Jordyn S were close behind her with nine each. The girls served a fantastic 90% on the night. Jordyn S led the team with 8 kills while Tressa D had 5 as well.

The B team started out a little bit rough dropping the first set 22-25. They came back in the second set, though, winning 25-15. They completed their game with a very good 15-9 team win to win the match 2 games to 1. Jaycee B and Skylar O let the team in serving with 5 aces a piece. The girls also racked up a very high number of digs as well. They played together very well and rallied for a very good team win.

In the C game the girls started off with a DOMINATING win in the first set winning 25-5. Kinsley U had a massive serving run to help in the first set. Shenandoah came back a bit in the second set, but our girls prevailed taking the set 25-17. The girls closed out the night with a very good 15-12 win in the third set. Kinsley U, Mackenzie D, Lily W, Ariana H, and Mattie T all combined for 35 aces! It was a fun game to watch. The girls will be wrapping up their season Thursday at Harlan.

 

The 8th grade volleyball team traveled to Shenandoah last night.  The A and B team came home with the victory while the C team put up a good battle.  

The A team had 11 aces on the night, led by Jenna W. with 6, and Ahna G adding in 3 more.  The girls also tallied 21 kills, being led by Rylie R. with 6, Jenna W. with 5, and Malynn,J., Bree H., and Ava H., adding in 3 a piece.Ahna and Ava G. combined for 16 setting assists for the night.  

The B team won all 3 sets, and had a total of 19 aces on the night. Peyton S. led with 10 aces, while Abby C. added 4, and Claire C. pitched in 3.  The B team had a total of 10 kills and were led by Sophie R. with 4, and Bre G. with 3.

The C team won 1 set and 15 aces on the night.  They were led by Alyssa P. with 6.  We had several 100% servers for the night, they are Kalynn S., Adah D., River F., and Alex K.

The volleyball team travels to Harlan on Thursday to wrap up the season.  Wish them the best of luck!
