7th Grade Football
Last night the Glenwood 7th grade football team hit the road for their first away game of the 2024 season. The young Rams took on the Cyclones of Harlan Community with an outstanding pair of shutout wins.
The A game started with the defense on the field, following a 3 and out and a short Harlan punt Treg Arnold (3) scored his first touchdown of the game on a 42 yard punt return with 5:47 on the clock. The 2 point conversion failed making the early score 6-0. It became a defensive battle after that, but the young Rams did grind out a 2nd quarter score set up by an interception, by Nate Sculte (36), with 4:26 left in the half, Arnold scored his 2nd touchdown on a 15 yard run. Arnold also scored the 2 point conversion making the half time score 14-0.
In the 4th quarter the Rams Arnold scored again on a 8 yard run, set up again by another Schulte interception, making the final score 20-0 with 1:39 left on the 4th quarter clock. The game was completed by a defensive play when Jacob Croatt (38) jumped on a Harlan fumble.
The Ram B game was 2, 15 minute running clock quarters. The first ram score would come from 1 yards out by Tate King (26), with 4:35 on the clock. The second came when Jagger Lundvall (25) finished off a 60 yard drive with a 1 yard run, on the left edge to make the score 12-0 at the 8:36 mark. The B game finished the same way as the A game, this time with Tripp Millikan (16) landing on the Cyclone fumble.
Making the final 12-0.
The Rams will return home next, when they will take on the Lewis Central Titans, at 4:15.
