Student Bulletin 9/24/24

8th Grade Volleyball:

9/23 @ Red Oak

Last night, the A and B teams won all 6 sets at Red Oak.  The A Team won 25-19, 25-15, and 15-13.  They  had 12 aces led by Greely C with 9.  Jordyn S led the team with 9 kills.  

The B Team won 25-16, 25-9 and 15-6.  They had 20 aces, Brooklynn C led with 4.  Bella N, Andri N, and Nadia S each had 2 kills. 

7th Grade Volleyball:

Last night the A and B teams won all 6 of their sets against Red Oak. The A team was led by Sophia Sinecio who had 12 aces and Rylee Hutchings who had 8 kills.

The B team won all of their sets despite Mr. Spieler messing up the rotations in the first set. The girls put together 27 aces. Rosie Smith leading the way with 9. Lauren Lang and Summer Roker both adding 6 each to the total.

• Football and Volleyball Pictures are in the office. Students, please stop in and pick them up.

• There were headphones turned in that were found in the 6th grade section in the gym. They were in a case, please describe to claim.

Don't forget to turn in your signed Image Release Form TODAY. This is a MUST-DO  if you want to join us for the Annual Pizza Party.

• Open mat for wrestling will start on Sunday, September 22nd and continue through November 10th every Sunday from 5:00 - 6:00 P.M. at the wrestling building. Talk to Mr. Weber if you have any questions. 

• The MS Play/Drama production will be at the end of February. Auditions for the play will be held in December. Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student may audition for the play as long as they are in good academic standing. Rehearsals will begin in December and run up to the production date in February. Rehearsals will be after school. More information about auditions will be in the MS announcements at the end of November and early December. The play will be announced at audition time. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Buckingham or email her.

• Student Council will be selling black and gold beads in the gym, before school, during homecoming week.  One set (one black, one gold) is $1.

• Volleyball tournament information 

Date: October 11th

Time: 6:30pm, doors open at 6pm

Where: Middle School Gym

Fee: $3 for Students and $4 for Adults

Team fee: $50 a team (10 players=$5 a player) MUST sign team up by Oct. 7th. Sign up forms are in the office

Dress Code: Teams must maintain the school dress code policy. In the past teams have created t-shirts and this is fine, but not required.
