November Northeast News
A note from Mrs. Salazar and Mrs. McMullen:
Dear Families,
We made it through the first quarter of school. Thank you for attending parent-teacher conferences. Parent involvement is a great way to help our students grow in both academics and social skills.
Teachers and students continue on with RAM time. A protected block of time that guarantees students have access to reteaching or extension daily based on their needs.
Northeast has had two Ram Pride assemblies, where students were recognized for outstanding behavior in the areas of being respectful, responsible, kind, and safe. Students who are chosen for this also enjoy lunch at a special table that day!
Please reach out anytime with questions or concerns,
Ashlie Salazar and Julie McMullen
A few things to remember:
- There is no supervision before 7:45 am at Northeast. Students should not be dropped off before 7:45 am.
- Dismissal plan changes need to be reported to the office before 2:40 pm (per student handbook)
- Northeast uses the Child Care Weather Watch Chart developed by the Iowa Department of Public Health. With the weather becoming chillier please make sure your children are dressed appropriately for outdoor recess, arrival, and dismissal.
