PowerSchool

Over the weekend of Dec. 4-5 we will be making changes to the system which runs PowerSchool for the district.  This change will allow us to increase security, improve maintenance, and take advantage of advances in technology and cost savings.

The most important change during this transition will be the CHANGE OF URL

• The current URL for Parents and Students is www.powerschool.glenwoodschools.org/public.  This URL will continue to function until Saturday, Dec. 4th.
• On Saturday Dec. 4th, PowerSchool will be taken down and will be inaccessible for most of Saturday and Sunday Dec. 4-5th.
• When PowerSchool goes live again, it will do so at www.glenwood.powerschool.com/public.  If everything goes as planned we should be up and running on this URL on Monday morning.

What does this mean to a user? 

• If you have PowerSchool currently bookmarked on your devices, those bookmarks will no longer work after Saturday.  Users will need to delete those bookmarks and create new ones for the new URL.
• On a daily-use basis, not much.  PowerSchool will function much the same what it always has.  The system will be updated more often and thus moving forward users will periodically see a slightly different look or increased capabilities

We will continue to communicate reminders and any new information that may arise during the transition via School Messenger.  As could be expected from any transition like this, there may be challenges we have to overcome in the first few days.  We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause and thank you for your understanding.
